4th Australian Workshop on Safety Critical Systems and Software
The Safety Critical Systems Technical Committee held its 4th National
Workshop on Safety Critical Systems and Software (SCS 1999) in Canberra on the 26th
November 1999.
The full-day workshop consisted of a series of practical experience reports and an expert panel
discussion session.
The papers included reports on safety management in defence acquisition, testing of safety
critical code, safety analysis of human-computer interfaces, development of safety cases for
airspace, and design and assessment of a watchdog system for train control.
The expert panel session discussed Managing Risk in the Procurement of Safety Critical
Systems.
