2003 : 8th Workshop

8th Australian Workshop on Safety Critical Systems and Software

The Safety Critical Systems Technical Committee held its 8th National Workshop on Safety Critical Systems and Software (SCS 2003) in Canberra over one and a half days (9-10th October 2003).

This years invited speaker was Professor Peter Ladkin from the Department of Computer Networks and Distributed Systems, Faculty of Technology, University of Bielefeld, Germany. Peter presented a Comparative Analysis of Various Methods Applied to Specific Safety Incidents which was well received by those attending the workshop.

In association with the workshop, a short course: Design of Safety-Critical Systems was presented by Simon Connelly, Research Officer, SVRC, University of Queensland on the Thursday morning, prior to the workshop (not included in workshop registration or fees).

This year's workshop proceedings will appear as Volume 33 in the Conferences in Research and Practice in Information Technology series.
