11th Australian Conference on Safety Critical Systems and Software
The Australian Safety Critical Systems Association (aSCSa) held its 11th
National Conference on Safety Related Systems and Software in Melbourne over two days
(31st Aug - 1st Sep 2006).
Critical functions for example safety, security, mission success and financial transactions are
often entrusted to software intensive systems. Software architecture is the key to whether such
systems can really be trusted.
Continuing the very successful format of recent annual conferences, a number of international
Keynote Speakers addressed this topical issue. International speakers included:
- Klaus Marius Hansen
University of Aarhus, Denmark.
- David Garlan
Carnegie Mellon University, USA.
- Tim Kelly
University of York, UK.
As in previous years, the conference proceedings will be published as part of the
Conferences in Research and Practice in Information
Technology series and a copy will be sent to all members when available.
